Im not really into christmas, not after people stopped giving my presents, which was about 15.
Then, when you become a young adult underemployed christmas takes on a whole new meaning, it just becomes about having an excuse to freeload at parties and stock the freezer up with "plates" your take home from other peoples houses
This year I wanted to dig deeper in to the meaning of christmas. I stopped digging when I stumbled across this gross injustice

Its really an amazing story and what an accomplishment, but the pull yourself up by the bootstarps mentality thats so pervasive in the states is a fucking pipe dream. One that doesnt seem to take into account the reality that immigrants face in the US.

Every where I turn ( ok many blogs I frequent) seem to have acquired a taste for black. As an underemployed city dweller who rents i have a small apartment and not a lot of money to make some fo the improvements or purchases I think would improve my space.
